About the Artist

 

Cay is seen in the sitting room of his apartment in London's Primrose Hill. The walls of which are hung with his work,most recently a series of musical greats.

He is a representational painter and admires the work of the new realists.

Cay works in watercolour and oil, painting still life, landscapes and delicate flowers together with vibrant studies  of fruit. 

His professional background was first in Holland as a Graphic Designer in Advertising and later in London, England.

His formal art training was at the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague where he learned to draw and at the Chelsea College of Art where he learned to paint.

His studio is in the Canary Islands where he mostly works in the winter months.
